The Synod Candidacy Committee nurtures, supports, and evaluates candidates for ordained ministry and rostered lay ministry in the ELCA. It is composed of five members who are appointed by the Bishop and serve five year terms.

The committee is guided by and acts in accordance with the guidelines established for candidacy by the ELCA Vocation and Education Unit. If you are interested in applying for candidacy to the ELCA roster, please contact Rev. Ron Hoyum, Assistant to the Bishop at 253-535-8300.
