2007 Domestic Hunger Grants
Nine Domestic Hunger Grant Applications have been received for 2007 distribution by the ELCA Domestic Hunger Grant Committee. The SW WA Synod Hunger Committee has reviewed these grants that total $37,424 and has made recommendation to the ELCA Domestic Hunger Grant Committee to fund eight of the applications for a total of $18,200.
Educational Hunger Resources
Augsburg Fortress and the ELCA World Hunger Committee have produced 2 resources:
"OWP: Nicaragua" A series of 7 independent videos that can be used for Sunday School, Vacation Bible School or other youth events. These videos are for grades 3-9.
"Living Simply with God" A 40-day educational and inspirational discipline calendar that will challenge a person's life style. This unique calendar can be used by families during lent.
