Preparing for marriage involves much more than getting ready for a wedding. The Marriage Preparation & Exploration Workshop provides one opportunity to look at both the internal and external aspects of your relationship. For newlyweds or engaged couples, the workshop will help you lay some foundations for your relationship to grow and deepen. For committed couples who wonder whether you should marry, the workshop will help you sort through key issues in your discernment process.
The Marriage Preparation & Exploration Workshop was designed to complement pastors' premarital counseling for couples. This one-day workshop will cover topics such as communication, conflict resolution, couple spirituality, families of origin, sexuality, caring for each other, and marital growth and development-all within a framework of Christian faith. Using a variety of teaching tools, film clips, exercises, and discussion, the presenters will help you to explore your relationship in creative ways, offering some simple tools to help your bond grow and flourish.
This workshop is appropriate for people from any denominational background. The workshop leaders are Pastor Joanna Robinson and her husband Tim Neuberger.

Prepare, Prepare MC, Enrich, & MATE
are preparation and enrichment tools that cover a number of important areas of marriage: communication, conflict management, family and friends, finances, sexuality, personal habits, etc. These tools provide a means for discussing strength and growth areas in a couple's relationship.

Workshops are held at various churches in the Tacoma area. Cost for the Marriage Preparation & Exploration Workshop is $100 per couple. Please enclose a $25 deposit, or the full fee, with this registration form. There is a $10 discount if registration is postmarked 14 days before the workshop. Deposit will be returned if cancellation is received 7 days prior to workshop. Please make checks payable to "Soul Care Psychotherapy."
